We know this year has been really tough on our local kids. Kids who may have left primary school and moved to secondary school, while also coping with the isolation of lockdown have faced thier own unique experience and challenges.
This summer we are delivering two amazing free summer schemes aimed at helping our tweenagers get out, make local friends and just hang out and be kids again.
Power Up is free for 11-13 year old girls and is a whole week of workshops and activities provided by local business, organisations and community groups all designed to Power Up thier wellbeing. PowerUp is a Safety First initiative and funded by Greenwich Council Public Health.
Pump It Up is a free music programme for 11-13 year olds where we get together and record a music demo. Throughout the week will be exploring percussion, singing, working together, composing and just sharing the music we love. Funded in part by the National Lottery
Both schemes will if over subscribed, prioritise households in these Charlton postcodes (as defined by Public Health, Greenwich Council), those in year 7 & 8 and families in receipt of universal credit.
