Chicken pox notice March 2020

Last week we had a visitor who has now got chicken pox they would have been infectious at the time. Although we have all stepped up the hand washing and disenfecting please do keep an eye out for the signs, which as well as spots include: a high temperature above 38C aches and pains, and generally feeling unwell loss of appetite There is plenty more information on the NHS website.

Closure of Big Red Bus Club

Due to the ongoing and evolving situation around the Corona Virus we have decided to close our Stay and Plays and move our projects online.  We will be publishing online activities using Zoom and on our exsisting Facebook private groups so please keep an eye out for our activities on both platforms

Big Red Bus Club is looking for a new Treasurer

We are actively seeking to recruit a Treasurer to our Management Committee interested persons should in the first instance contact the Chair Big Red Bus Club is a volunteer led family wellbeing centre. We are a dynamic local charity in a period of consilidation after sucessfull growth. Since becoming a charity in December 2016, we have started new projects and successfully diversified funding streams to underpin our future as an organisation.  The overall role of the treasurer is to maintain an overview of the BRBC financial affairs, ensure its financial viability and ensure that proper financial records and procedures are established and maintained. We are looking for an individual with financial experience and the experience to support our ambition and growth plans.  This oppourtunity has opened up due to the relocation overseas of the exsisting postholder, who will be available remotely to whoever becomes part of the team. Anatoliy and Daisy cycle 100k

  Daisy and Anatoliy would like to thank all the friends, family and Big Red Bus Clubbers that helped them both cycle a staggering 65 miles to support the Big Red Bus Club. Daisy was overwhelmed by the messages on social media and said "The Big Red Bus Club has been a part of my life since I was so little, I love walking past and seeing the new little children playing, thank you for supporting us” It was a long gruelling day with the kids spending over 8 hours on thier bikes, including climbing a few hills and crossing the river at Gravesend/Tilbury and Woolwich.  The two twelve year olds met over nine years ago at the Big Red Bus Club and both now attend the local secondary school.  Anatoliy has made a great video of thier day out

Space week 2019

30th September to 4th October everyday 12.30 - 3pm, it is the space week at the Big Red Bus Club. Bring along your under five space explorers as we create aliens, rockets and hyper jump into the unknown.  Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Avatar forest activities Play dough aliens Fling saucers Rockets crafts 3D rockets 

Local 12 year olds will attempt to cycle 60 miles

Anatoliy Hnachuk and Daisy Drewry both only 12 years old will be attempting to ride 60 miles to raise funds for the Big Red Bus Club on the 5th October. This is a huge task for adults and these kids are undertaking and your support will keep those little legs going. In 2013 a group of cyclist organised a bike ride to help fund the Big Red Bus Club daily family stay and play for local families and replace the Big Red Bus Club's old and broken heating. On a beautiful sunny day loads of small children turned up to wave them off, two of those children only five year olds, who had played as toddlers at the Big Red Bus Club were Anatole and Daisy. Both children as they got older became keen cyclists. Today, six years later, they will be joining adult cyclist who will be donning lycra one more time and riding 100k in aid of the Big Red Bus Club.
