Annual General Meeting 2017


Thursday 21st September 1.30pm – 2.30pm at the Big Red Bus Clu

As a charity, every year the members get together to hear about what we have done in the last year, inspect the Big Red Bus Club’s accounts and how we have spent our money and elect the committee for the next.

The Management Committee

The Management Committee 2017/2018 will meet four times over the year, but there will be a number of other meetings depending on what your interest are like finance, SEND, fundraising, wellbeing*.

The Committee will consist of five elected member and three (non-voting) representatives of Play Plus, Acorn Project, Ukraine group if unrepresented by elected members, being a non-voting representative is a great chance to see first-hand how a charity runs.

It is vitally important that we have the skills to carry out governing the Big Red Bus Club if the elected Committee feels it needs to coopt expertise to the committee they can do so in a Management Committee meeting.

We ask that if you are considering becoming a committee member to please email or Facebook message a small biography maybe 50-100 words which will be available on the day.  Please do consider standing and do see Annie or Sarah to chat about how we can help you get more involved.

*As a committee member you would be expected to attend a three hour course on the roles and responsibilities of being a chair, have a complete and new DBS check with the Big Red Bus Club and complete either the online safeguarding course or the Safeguarding course provided by us as part of the initial induction. We can be flexible around times and places to undertake these requirements but completion is compulsory.
