We’re all Wonders

I don’t know if you have heard of this book, ‘We’re all wonders’ by R J Palacio.

It’s a wonderful book, which is also a film and a book for older kids and adults. I won’t ruin the plot for you, but put simply, it has a clear message of we’re all wonders, no matter what we look like or whether we have additional needs or not. Every single person is a wonder. My favourite quote from the book is...

I know I can't change the way I look. BUT maybe, just maybe, people can change the way they see’ .

It’s a great book to help children understand difference and understand how we can treat people better. So on Monday all of our activities were based on our emotions, with a little Christmas Joy added in!

All of these activities can be made at home, and are a great way to help explain about emotions.

See what fun you get up to.
