A swap a day keeps obesity away

Tara_Aum_Annie.jpgThe Neighbourly Project distributes approximately £200 worth of surplus fruit and vegetables to local families from local supermarkets in Charlton like Marks and Spencer.

In the weeks we have seen 50% decrease in the takings at our tuck shop as children and families are opting to snack on a piece of fruit or vegetable instead of the packets of crisps or a biscuit.

So we know that families are already making healthy swaps at the Big Red Bus Club. We are changing the way we snack at the Big Red Bus Club because by the time our kids leave primary school 43.9% of our children are obese.

At the Big Red bus Club we are owning this and making changes.
